'Porcupine' - Linocut and screenprint
I carved this lino after being told by a friend living in Kenya at the time that porcupines are seen as a pest and eaten as a delicacy. Alarmed by the thought this is my tribute to such a captivating rodent. I used a small wood engraving by Thomas Bewick as inspiration.
I print everything from my studio using a small wooden hand press. The finished result is unique and original with no two prints being alike - adding to their charm.
