The Raking of the Leaves

Autumn in my garden here at Holly Tree Cottage is always a splendid affair, but this year it seemed even more spectacular, perhaps this was because I was at home more than usual and was far more in tune with the changes. With Marples help I found myself raking the leaves pretty much everyday and as a consequence noticed the quiet fading of the flowers - the rudbeckias slowly lost their leaves and the once magnificent acanthus shed it's flowers and showed the beautiful structure underneath. I am always the big eared creature in all of my prints - it's my animal spirit.
