Where the Bees Live
This print is based on a drawing that evolved over the month of February this year - 2017. I often have a drawing on the go in the studio that I 'add' to when things occur or inspire me. As a child I loved Enid Blyton's 'The Wishing Chair' and this often finds it way into my work and my dreams -- I love the idea of just sitting in chair in the shed down the bottom of the garden and being transported somewhere and this is where the chair took me during a bleak February - a pastel world full of strange animals and busy bees!
I print everything from my studio using a small wooden hand press and my etching press. The finished result is unique and original with no two prints being alike.
